    Hermès – Golden Neroli Water

At the start of 2016, Hermès once again called on its favorite perfumer, namely the talented Jean-Claude Ellena. The latter will soon unveil his new scented water. This is presented as a true concentrate of luminosity with a strongly concentrated scent of orange blossom. Moreover, its name could not be clearer since it will be the Eau de Néroli Doré . For the occasion, the iconic bottle in the shape of a Hermès lantern will be tinted with a bright yellow juice. There is no doubt, this perfume is about to put a strong dose of sun in your daily life.

Hermès offers us a concentrate of neroli

Neroli is the name given to the essential oil obtained from the distillation of orange blossom. Also, it should not be confused with orange blossom absolute which is, in turn, obtained by extraction. Neroli is mainly used in colognes or in floral waters with a particularly fresh scent. In this case, its scent is zesty and luminous. It is at the same time sweet, rich and flowery. Also, since always, Jean-Claude Ellena dedicates a true worship to him. It is therefore an ingredient that is found in many of its fragrances. Eau de Néroli Doré is therefore a particularly sunny essence that makes life want to smile. Its cheerfulness is reflected on all sides and in particular through its floral and Mediterranean scents. In addition, its cheerful temperament is enhanced with a hint of spices. However, the latter are very precisely dosed and are treated gently. Jean-Claude Ellena has succeeded in orchestrating this set very well so that the citrus fruits blend wonderfully with the latter and more particularly with the dominant saffron.

Eau de Néroli Doré, a perfume steeped in the history of Jean-Claude Ellena

Jean-Claude Ellena is a perfumer who was born in Grasse. Also, his fate was drawn from the start! Among his many olfactory creations, he conceptualized several Cologne. Also, Eau de Néroli Doré is its fifth essence from this category of perfumes. If he chose to use neroli, it is quite simply because this ingredient has a very special flavor for him. “When I started out in the perfume profession,” explains Jean-Claude Ellena, “I learned to distill raw materials, including orange blossom. When you enter this universe of stills, you are immersed in the scent[…] My whole being was then scented with orange blossom. It is therefore quite logical that the perfumer has chosen to reinterpret it is odor, a scent that reminds him of his beginnings in perfumery. Also, while neroli is usually combined sparingly in scent creations, he chose to use it extensively. This creation becomes quite simply unprecedented. Likewise, saffron is there as if to evoke a region of the globe which is dear to it. Jean-Claude Ellena then winks at what he calls “SA Mediterranean”. Eau de Néroli Doré tells us about its history, its roots, its sun and its spices.
